37 hours per week (25 days holiday plus 8 public holidays)

Opening November 2020, Ayrshire Food Hub  is looking for an experienced proactive Development Manager to work closely with the Trustee Board, staff and volunteers to set up  a café and farm shop and plan a busy schedule of events  for  the  teaching kitchen, event space and outside growing areas. Through the new purpose-built hub, we will look to expand our established educational outreach work promoting growing, cooking, and eating” local”.

As the Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading the staff team and managing all Hub activities, including food, retail and catering, business administration, marketing, staff recruitment and training. This role will suit an ambitious and successful business development/catering/hospitality manager with experience of work in the third sector.

You will be self-motivated, flexible, an excellent communicator, a strategic and creative thinker, personable, professional and have a positive can do attitude to develop a dynamic community organisation, open 7 days a week and  with a major focus on promoting local produce .

If you have a creative approach, strong communication skills, and can work effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds and are willing to work 5 from 7 to develop a facility that is valued by the local community, and beyond, then we would like to hear from you!
